The market

Almost every software company now calls itself an AI company. Very few are.

The distinction our technical diligence exists to find is between companies that use AI as a component and companies whose product could not exist without it. That second group is small, hard to find, and where the returns sit.

Two things changed this year. Enterprises moved AI out of pilots and into production, so demos became procurement. And agentic systems shipped, so software began executing work rather than informing it. Both favour the application layer — and that is where we invest.

Presenting live

Three companies we backed early

  1. 01

    Dublin

    Mirror Security

    Securing the AI stack itself

A UCD spin-out encrypting AI operations end to end — data, embeddings, outputs — with fully homomorphic encryption. Enterprises get AI into production without exposing what it runs on.

Pre-seed co-led by SVV with Atlantic Bridge’s University Bridge Fund. Building in collaboration with Intel.

  2. 02

    Dublin

    Overpath

AI that runs the deal, not the CRM

Reads live deal behaviour across a company’s systems, finds where a deal is going wrong while it is still winnable, and tells the team what to do next.

Founded by Ross Keating and Dermot O’Connor. €1.6m pre-seed alongside Elkstone Ventures.

  3. 03

    United Kingdom

    Souk

    Your AI partner development manager

Finds new referral and affiliate partners, runs the outreach, tracks the deals and pays the commissions — automatically. Partnerships without the headcount a partnerships team normally needs.

One of the newest positions in our UK fund.
